Cloud Computing and Mesh.com

“Your work computer. Your home laptop. Your Mac. Your mobile phone. Devices live in multiple places. But the files you need—and the programs that open them—often don’t. Live Mesh changes all that. With Live Mesh, you can synchronize files with all of your devices, so you always have the latest versions handy. Access your files from any device or from the web, easily share them with others, and get notified whenever someone changes a file.”
Small Business Owners will love this free service from Microsoft! I just set this up for my business files, and love it! It allows me to access the files as they update instantly on all my computers and on the web, even share them out to others!
- Access your files from multiple devices including your Desktop, Laptop, Mac, Phone, and Web.
- Keep track of changes made to files and by who
- Share files and folders with multiple people across the web
- Remotely access your computer from anywhere on the web
Sending up to 1GB files to other people for free!
Back in our very first newsletter we talked about a service called YouSendIt which allows you to send unlimited amounts of files up to 100MB each to anyone via email. But if you want to send out more than 100MB at a time, they ask you to pay $5 per month. Why pay for that when you can do it for free? With DropSend you can send up to 1GB files five times per month for free! So what I recommend doing is using a combination of both services. YouSendIt on a daily basis because you can use it unlimited times for files up to 100MB. And DropSend when needed for those super large files up to 1GB. Another tip is if you have a bunch of files that you need to send, zip them up into one file first and then send it as one big file!
