I just got my free 30-day trial for MagicJack and so far, it works perfectly for phone calls within the U.S. I instantly got myself a local 619 number and started making phone calls right away. $20 a year, plus $20 for the actual device. You can receive incoming calls and make outgoing calls. The quality of the line seems to be on a par with the POTS (plain old telephone system). The only thing I noticed is that hooking up a fax machine to the line does not work. How can you beat that?!?
